Once upon a time she lost a button. Once upon a time she lost her
temper. But if there was one thing the Collector wouldn't let herself
lose, it was a fight—especially one wrought by old envy. For if there
was something she couldn't collect, it was what the Fairest of Them
All possessed: a name in the superlative, no less than in the name of
beauty. But what the Fairest didn't have was the Collector's flawless
sense of fashion, exceptional in subtle pomp even the haute-couture
circles of Paris, Milan, and Cainta secretly admired. (All the
Fairest's mediocre attempts at chic attire had failed.)
No surpise then that when one of the two fat cyclops discovered that
their lady's button had been stolen by the Fairest, the Collector was
glad: Finally, she had a reason to rip the ghastly face off the head
of that "pretentious albino slut, clitless fashion-whore-wannabe" (her
words from an interview by Tondo Style Quarterly.) "She gives albinos
a bad name," she continued, paraphrasing Bon Jovi.
